2k is totally the way to do things. :) Those 300 extra words serve as a padding for a bad day. And the number is better than 1700, which is awkward and it's hard to calculate where you should be mentally. ;)

I've been slowly working my way up. First year was 1700, last year was 1800, and I decided to just jump to 2000 for this year. ;D

I'd tried 1667 on my first year, and slacked off to writing 1600 and ended up with a horrible backlog. :P So I know if I aim high, I may fall, but I won't totally fall off. XD

2k a day ain't hard really. It just looks like a big number. ;)

LOL, you and I both have Nano AND school checklists. Helps keep us focused. It's awesome to know I'm not the only one who has to do school AND Nano.

And I noticed that you posted an excerpt, which of course made me smile in my heart place.
