Two and a half years ago, on my 24th birthday, Erin & Jake bought me a sewing machine. That is to say, they bought me a desk with a sewing machine inside. It's a Nelco R-2000, 1968 model (I looked it up). In one of the drawers, it had the original instructions, along with spare parts, buttons, bobbins, and various other sewing accoutrements.
