All rapists need is a little love. But they also crave power. So perhasps they should be made love to with a chainsaw.

So many people say those kind of things, but few go through with them. Not that Im saying vigilanties are good, but the system for dealing wiht rapists doesnt work. It just adds to the trauma. Half the time theres no point reporting it cos theres nothing they can do.

Yeah, it was a poor joke. wen_will_it_end December 1 2005, 02:38:20 UTC
I understand. But there's a lot of fine lines to be drawn in almost every situation. The example I set is much more firm than the one which I will seek punishment for. All the time, drunk people are hooking up. It's a prime reason to get drunk! Is this rape? If the guy is sober, does that make it more like rape?

I believe in compassion, even for those most disgusting of people, because many times they don't understand or truly cannot help themselves. The burden falls on society to set proper boundaries. I do the best I can to follow my own morals, and to express them as an example for others. I also have a chip on my shoulder about such things, but it branches to include cheaters, abusers, and bullies. And those can all be women, as well as men.

wasnt that bad a joke :P eswenvindalas December 1 2005, 03:50:08 UTC
defeinetly agree with those points, but the thought of compassion for it just makes me sick to be honest.
And yes I do agree that it can be both, and that this is a point a large deal of society just doesnt seem to see.
