Some of the habits are gone. First thing in the morning- coffee is fine now on its own. I have stopped going out during the working day for 'some fresh air'. These had been suggested away and amazingly, this has worked

Eric, you make a good point. The lapses will stretch of course if I let them and I know this, so there should really be none. The weekend is a good time to eliminate these, I think. And then I will have made proper progress.
