Golden bows and красные звезды.

There was a plan:
- get up
- shower
- read case study over breakfast
- get online to send some internship applications
And that is where the plan went out of the window. Because Johnny Weir skated in Russia last night. And wore the costume the weir.ru fans had given him for his birthday. Yes, the one with the naked back. My only complaint is that Read more... )

Oh, really...more see through would have been even more perfect ;)
...and that bow is doing miracles for my early morning mood swings...

Yeah, it's fake see-through. Figure skating see-through. Or even less than the usual see-through-ness. But hey, I'll take that. If I don't look too closely, I can imagine that the back is actually naked. Besides, we've seen his back on other ocassions already, so... ;)

Haha, it's like:
Life: *sucks*
Johnny: *puts on bow*

Life: *is wonderful*

I don't even know. And I don't think it would work for all three or four of us to watch at the same time??? Besides, I don't even know if it would work on my computer, with the internet being as stupid as it is. So yeah, it's not very realistic for me.

He does. It's very appropriate. Since he's gayer than Christmas.

Yeah, I know, but I'm not sure if it would be the same for live streaming video, you know? That vid we watched was from tape and also, it wasn't exactly at the same time.

Ok. How much is the hostel per night? Are you booking a double room, then? I think it might be easier for me to stay with you guys, in general - if you'd have me, of course. ;) Though I still don't know at what time on Friday I'll be able to arrive.

Those pictures are so awesome. The actual costume itself, kind of tacky, but how great that he wore it.

According to the FSVids dorks, a Russian channel called NTV Sport Online will be streaming all of Skate America (and the whole Grand Prix) and there are ways to get it no matter where you are but I don't understand them because, heh, I just use my IceNetwork subscription. Which I share with two other people.

Yeah, I didn't really like the costume that much when I saw pictures of it (without Johnny in it), it didn't turn out as nice as the sketches. But he worked it well. :)

Oh, that would be great - that's how I watched some of the GP last season.
Is it possible to watch stuff live on icenetwork when you're sharing the account? Like, for all the three of you to watch at the same time, from different computers?

We've never tried watching all at the same time and probably won't be able to watch most/all of the competition live anyway. So I really have no idea.

It's weird because somehow I'd totally forgotten/was unaware this show was happening right now ( ... )

There are new ones now, there were only a few in the morning. And oh, I love the ones of him with Sergei Voronov and the other guy (who was that, I forgot) - Johnny's such a princess there, with a guy by each side. <3
And yes, yes, he makes the costume work. I totally agree about his chest, it does look good in it. And his back looks good in it, too, in some of those shots.
Also, that one pic from the side, where he's stretching up to sign stuff for the fans? Totally kills me! Curvesss!

Well, Mosca just informed me that NTV Sport is gonna be showing the GP again this year? And I'm sure someone will figure out some way how to hack in? Or you know, that's much cheaper than icenetwork (it was like $15 last season?), so if I found out how to pay there... I don't know how much the season pass at IN is going to be, but last season it was like $45?
I'm counting on the Russians, though. ;)
I mean the getting up, still half asleep, huddling under a blanket and sitting down to watch figure skating with you. -- we'll have tea and/or vodka ( ... )

The back looks kind of strange on the ice here. But. He's so fast in the beginning. *_*

hmm How did we watch it last year? Free trial? hmmm I suppose we can't make that work again.

uh oh ahaha Alcohol and live fs comps. xD My poort heart. lolol

Yeah, I just watched that too, lol, like a minute ago. And I thought exactly the same thing about the back - it makes him look like a big yellow bug, esp. on that sit spin? XD

Yep, free trial for 15 days. Maybe it will work again, who knows. But well, we'll see how much that is - if it's 15 bucks again, that's okay. (As long as it works with the payment.) And then I'll have Russian TV throughout the year. I kinda miss hearing Russian.

It will be fabulous! :D
