Could it be that I need some time to adjust and get used to the new blades and boots? Or is it just in my head.
may be, it's jujst lack of practice?

What is waltz jump? *trying to understand*

That could be, too, though I never had such major problems with three-turns after not-skating for a while. *shrug*

I think it's 'perekidnoy'in Russian. :)

Plus a few idiots who like to chase around and don’t look over their shoulder when they go backwards.

They're an international phenomenon! Good grief!

Re: your skates/three-turn difficulty. It sounds like you are dealing with brand spankin' new blades and general break-in growing pains. Once the blades wear down a bit, your usual moves should be back to where they were. And I'm so not surprised about your spins and jumps. The first time I spun on my blades, I was like, "Where did THAT come from!?!?!?!! Holy shat!" :D

Sorry that you fell so hard. Hope the bruise subsides quickly!

I'm skating with a friend tonight, so I'll whip up that video. ;)

Idiots on ice seem to be like an epidemic, sigh.

Ok, I hope I'll be back to normal soon, then!

And yay for the video, I'm sure it will be educative.
