Lovely Sunday

May 09, 2005 11:08

This was such a perfect weekend. Friday Seth was so productive (lots of yardwork and such) and Shabbos was wonderful as I've already written. I'd have been satisfied if that was the end of the beautiful weekend. But Sunday was lovely as well ( Read more... )

he's the person that ensures that kashrus of a Kosher store. He makes sure no non-kosher products come into the business and that certain standards of kashrus are upheld.

There's probably more to it, but it boils down to him being the kosher-police.

Those 15 minutes in the car killed it. I always try to keep them awake in the car so we can get a good nap later. It's really cruel. We tickle and poke so they won't fall asleep. Torture, but they get a normal nap in that way.

we really, really, really tried to keep him awake.

And normally that 15 minutes still wouldn't have precluded a nap. Particularly since he's partial to afternoon naps anyway.

Yeah. Sometimes if they are THAT tired, it doesn't matter what you do.

[smiling at your lovely day]

Rafael was terrified of the haircut buzzer things, too. I cured it by buying a cheap one ($15?) and waited for calm, safe times to "play" with it (making bee noises, letting him feel the vibration... uh, this is sounding way too much like an adult toy, but you get it). He was tentative enough that he wasn't about to make a grab for the cutting edge.

About two weeks later he lost his fear (and incidentally was a lot less frightened by the vaccuum and the blender).

The thing is, I don't even like the look of his hair cut with a buzzer thing. So I'm just as happy to tell them that they can't use it at all.

Oddly, Julian isn't afraid of the vacuum. Neither is the kitten; it's very strange.

but of course! I like frogs, geckos, and dragonflies. I would collect them all, but our house is too small.
