This is me thinking way too hard about pie and my reactions to it

The only kind of pie I consistently enjoy is pumpkin/squash. Fruit pies with double-crust, I will eat, but I will not enjoy them as much as I think I should. Monica's Pies, with a single crust, such as her raspberry pie or grape pie, I will eat and enjoy, but only to a limited extent and again, not quite as much as I feel I ought to. that is a really concise and impressive analysis of your pie tastes.

mine are much simpler
Pie = good
there are multiple levels of good, ranging from 'thats delicious, but not insanely delicious' to *SEIZURE FROM DELICIOUSNESS OVERDOSE TO THE nTH POWER!'

I do not get nearly as excited over most pie (clearly). Your food-reactions are much more intense than mine.
