Guh. I love how this conversation curves and bends to its destination, how there are so many little things adding up to the moment that they finally connect. Danny's fingers touching Steve's wrist was mmmmph, so lovely. (Did you see this photo of almost exactly that? bweeeeee) And poor Steve, wistful and his thoughts drifting, and Danny, so solid and patient and present with him. And that line about Danny beneath him sajdhflkajsldfasdfdsa oh yes :D
