I love John as a cycon, I love how you made this story AU apart from the Cyborg premise (Sumner surviving longer and supporting John, Bates supporting John, Elisabeth being hurt during The Storm and so on), I love the H/C, I love the John POV, I love the Radek/John friendship and I love your OCs. ♥

oh, thank you! I had so much fun writing this, you have no idea. this brought all my youthful love of Science Fiction to the fore. and it was so great getting to invest more time in Carson and Elizabeth and Bates and Sumner.

Awesome story, what a great AU. I loved twitchy Rodney with his paranoia and decent heart at the end. Radek was a real joy along with the interesting little tidbits about the Czech Republic. O'Neill was his usual cool self and yay for Sumner being a totally loyal Marine. I really like how the AU changed the way of dealing with the Wraith, that was so neat. I liked the way the Wraith evolved though too, in order to deal with this new threat. That was really fascinating and I wouldn't mind seeing more in this AU. And last but not least, your John was so three dimensional and well rounded. He was great and his character works perfectly as a cycon. The little changes that you made to S1 work wonderfully with this AU. Thanks.

I love this story -- absolutely adore it -- but I'm a little confused on one point: Is Bates a cycon? This line at the beginning suggests he is. He also saw four cycons, including three marine lieutenants and the noncom, Sergeant Bates, and the young human lieutenant, Ford... But later in the story, it seems Bates is human, when John lets it slip that Radek is also a cycon. Just wondering, hon.

BTW, this one went straight into my fic file on my hard drive. :)
