For those of you haven't heard, I'm sorry to pass on the depressing news that Maurice Sendak died a few days ago. He, along with Roald Dahl and Shel Silverstein formed an unholy triumvirate of literary influence on my developing brain, and I will miss them all terribly. I don't know who has taken up the cause these days, maybe that Lemony Snicket
