Murder is terribly exhausting.

Outside the Doctor's Office
Late afternoon, Monday May 3rd

It is one of those beautiful Spring days that poets write about, that make children look out schoolroom windows longingly, and have people out enjoying the sunshine in droves.

It is most inconvienent.

It's been increasingly harder to find Lucien alone.  That night of him railing and moaning by ( Read more... )

Cece got out,AGAIN. I have not told her I know, I am waiting to catch her. The thought of her daring to do it does bring a small smile to my face. Ever the little fearless rebel. At least she brings a little friend along. I have been in the garden for far too long. Waiting and watching. Nothing of great importance, besides my little light, of course.

In my usual simple girl dress and look, I walk down the street, smile growing a little larger each time the sun warmed dirt scatters under my feet. I do so love that feeling. I don't think I'll ever tire of it. My smile widens, seeing the end of the trail I was following.

"Making plans, I hope," I giggle, snuggling next to the human body that contains my Arik. He used to be so much more. I do miss it. "Are you aware that your daughter is off on an adventure in town?" I ask sweetly, "And this is not the first time," I say, tracing a line of heat down his arm. I wonder if he knows and has been trying to hide it from me. As if he could. He knows his punishment would be far worse than hers.

I feel her swishing towards me long before I see her, but my Lady still brings a smile to my lips and a ache lower within this form when she comes into view.

"Making plans, I hope." Merely grin and take out a stiletto dagger, twirl it about between my fingers once, then replace it within my boot as she curls her body besides mine. "Of course. Just need to catch him alone, when there's no one about to help." Or catch me. I think to myself.

Lilith informs me that our darling has snuck out and is exploring on her own. My eyebrow goes up as she continues. "And this is not the first time," I laugh, even as she trickles searing heat down my arm. "Why that little sneak!" I chuckle, and drop a kiss on my Lady's head. "She's so much like you, so I am not overly surprised. Do you know where she is, should we go follow at a distance and see what mischief she gets herslef into?" I ask, tickled by CeCe's duplicity.

He confirms my hopes, twirling a dagger in his hand. Such a simple tool, but one he needs, no doubt. The doctor may very well be able to over power him in that human shell he's trapped in.

"Of course. Just need to catch him alone, when there's no one about to help."

"Naturally," I say, rolling my eyes. This has gone on far too long as it is. I give Iblis a slight smile for his ever so annoying creativity. The riot was a beautiful work of art as well. I could have done better, of course. It is too bad I missed the party. Though, I was captivated by it. Just like his god, a supernova, for the good of a human. Iblis must have been so disappointed. You'd think he would be used to it by now. There is an Adversary for a reason. We are the rejected children, ever punished for both doing as we're told and not.

Perhaps I'll rebel again just to mix it all up. It has been so long, that thought does not make me smile.

I do, however, laugh at Marbas calling Celeste a sneak. "She's so much like you, so I am not overly surprised. Do you know ( ... )

I can feel her brief flash of irritation at my waiting for a good moment to kill Lucien, but it is soon replaced with her amusement at CeCe's antics.

"She'll know if we follow and disappointingly enough, no mischief, just play, But she's safe." Smile again. "Well, she's had no real example of mischief. Perhaps being around the other children will inspire some. And then, once she gets the hang of it... you can show her what real chaos is." My eyes sparkle at the thought.

I see I cannot keep the subject light, for she circles right back to my task.
"But will you do what is necessary when the time is right?" Stare into her eyes right back ( ... )
