Day 104
DuskStaring down at the burning remains of what was once a human girl, my brows knit and I sigh in disappointment as I watch her skinless body whither then turn to ash. She seemed so promising too. And I am being careful! I'm only staying in the yard! Miss Silverleaves wanted to go out really really a lot.
Some of the leaves are starting to turn colors and I pick up the yellow ones to put them in their own pile. What if the yellow leaves were magic? They turn things into gold! Giggling, I nod my head, "Yes and yes! She's really nice, I like her a lot and the carnival too. Its soo much fun, have you been?" She probably has, the carnival is usually overrun with throngs of the dirty screaming little things.
The little girl sits down relaxing a little when I ask about her toy, holding it up and telling me its name. Miss Silverleaves. "Very nice to meet you, Miss Silverleaves," I say with a bow of my head. Then I lean forward and whisper confidingly, "I have a big lion I call Arik," I giggle, "He's one of my favorites. Is she one of yours?" I ask, leaning back on my hands ( ... )
