What an awesome list! This is such a heartening reminder of how many awesome female authors are working in SF/F. I'm going to do this right now myself! :-) :-)

So she has! It's fascinating looking at what people have and haven't read. BTW, was it you who recommended (ages ago) that I read Shannon Hale's The Goose Girl? Well, I read it yesterday and thought it was lovely, so thanks (if it was indeed your rec) :-).

I may have recommended Shannon Hale's Bayern series to someone, but I wouldn't bet on it having been you ^^, e.g. I have no recollection of it at the moment.
My favourite book of hers is outside the series (although it has quite a similar flavour): The Princess Academy

Many thanks for adding me to the list!

And hey, now that my "classic" novel Dreams of the Compass Rose is available in its entirety, as a multi-format e-book FREE download... here's a chance for folks who have never heard of me to try my work. :-)

Download your free copy here:

Dreams of the Compass Rose by Vera Nazarian

Enjoy! :-)

But of course, you belong there. estara June 11 2010, 18:31:06 UTC
Thank you very much, Ms Nazarian!

I've noticed that you hadn't added your new edition to Goodreads.com yet, and since I have librarian status, I added it.
