Late night travelling

I love travelling at night. Particularly on public transport.

Even just walking it's nice. It is so quiet and serene in the darkness when there's only a few people around, but buses especially so. When the inside is lit and there may as well be no world beyond it, it's surreal.

When I was back home, a couple of chavs got on the bus. One had a rectangular red mark on the side of his face, and cheerily asked his friend "So... why did you twat me with that brick then...?"

I have no hope for humanity stemming from public transport.

Yeah, this is why you make sure not to get the *last* bus, because it has all the drunk people on it..

Hrmm. London night buses have ever left me slightly jaded with the clientele of nocturnal travel, but OTOH getting the Oxford tube in either direction at 1AM is always a surreally serene experience.

And wow does my language get florid at this time of night.
