Spent the weekend getting ready for Pennsic. Ye gods I spend so much work getting ready for my vacation it's exhausting. (And it would be worse if I didn't have the storage unit there

Even with the drama, I envy you. But unless we hit the lottery in the next day or so, that's not happening. I'd especially looked forward to watching Ajax being knighted, as well as seeing different folks from our household on the EK Throne.
Hopefully I'll find work soon & can start saving for next year.
I have not got a thing packed have got no real new art or jewelry cause of shit was going to go a bit later so i could get caught up and already handed landgrab over to someone else since this whole doing that then trying to not die in the parking lot so i was thinking YAY. but no. have to be there saturday anyway cause no one else knows how to do electrical in the shop. and to be honest. i have been looking forward to this pennsic like i look forward to a blood test. last year was SO DAMN BAD it hurt. i had ONE GOOD DAY. or i should say one good two hour period.
i am just so scared this one is going to suck and i will come home sicker than ever. last year it took a bit over two weeks to stop being very ill from it. i just push myself so hard there and do not even realize it.
Tee Hee! packing for Pensic! I remember one year Deo rented a mid-size car in Boston and drove down to pick me up in Jersey. She had so much stuff we had to take her clothes out of the suitcases and jam them under the seats, and the featherbed mattress just wouldn't fit at all. (most memorable quote: "don't put my bras and panties in the rear windshield") And then we stopped for gas on Admiral Wilson BLvd and I could just see the attendant thinking "there goes some trailer park trash just filled their car up w/ everything they own and skipping out before the rent is due!"
We do look like vagabonds, don't we? Can always tell a Pennsic car on the Turnpike.
I'm having a devil of a time fitting things into this new Cube. It can hold it, but my tubs are too big. I want to trade them all in for slightly smaller wooden boxes. Even after weeding out some stuff (I *never* wear that many doublets) I'm likely going to have to take the contents of one tub and spread them around. (I promise not to put my bras in the read window.)
