Work hasn't been great, I was moved to a different Unit at camp. Now I'm in a Kindergarten bunk. My new kid is Autistic, and doesn't ever listen to me. He pulls my hair a lot, claws my face, squeezes anything he can get a hold of, and kicks me. Not fun ( Read more... )

i've worked with kids of all disabilities at hashawha, and when they're really touchy feely like that, you NEED to designate boundaries. let him know what kind of touching is acceptable and what kind is unacceptable. use the "this is my bubble. this is your bubble" technique if need be.
