I just got an epiphany!

(No, I didn't. Because it's not an epiphany, I just want to make an entry and ramble some (non)sense about DGM's plot.)

On fanfiction, at least, people seem to generally think that Cross' words "when you turn into the 14th you will kill someone you love" mean that the "someone you love" is just random anyone Allen loves. But, ( Read more... )

Hmm, I hadn't thought about it from quite that angle yet. It does seem likely. Cross' warning would have only been a confirmation that Allen's title as "Destroyer of Time" (considering Bookman's theory, that is) and as the one who will kill the Earl... and it would have also been a warning to Allen that he will not just be striking down an enemy.

But I think that argument has been used (not approaching it from the same angle you did, of course) by the fans of the crack theory Earl = Mana. Only they add a step to your reasoning. XD

Wut? Earl = Mana? I haven't heard of that!

(Oooh, but it's good, very good. No, no, it's epic! Just think about what Allen would look like after hearing that Earl is actually Mana! His face! His face~!)

XDDDD

You haven't? I've heard a lot of people mention it. I'm not sure if the exact theory is "Mana was the Earl since the beginning" or "the Earl somehow has Mana's appearance", but yeah, anyway, the theory is "Mana = Earl".

You remember that panel where we see Mana's face, only with the clown paint, in Allen's memories? Someone even tried taking off the paint and it did look remarkably like what we now know the Earl's human form looks like.

His face... poor little one. T_T

XD
