[Medium shows up on time (possibly a record), managing to only bang her shins once with the staff she bought for the training. She looks around Park Island, wondering if Handmaiden's already here.]
[The bow is unfamiliar to Handmaiden, but she recognizes it as a sign of respect and nods in reply. She then walks around Medium, gently adjusting her stance with her hands and feet, and takes up her own battle stance next to her once more.]
Now, follow my movements.
[She slowly demonstrates the basic strikes with a staff--upper, lower, side, diagonal.]
[She tries to hold up the position, but as she makes the lower strike in imitation of Handmaiden, she stumbles over a little, off balance. Her face is set though.]
Hah... I guess this is a lot more work than I thought!
[She watches Medium's stumble. It's suddenly clear to Handmaiden that this is likely the first time Medium has ever done something like this. She also is rather more clumsy than Will.]
It takes much time and practice before these movements will come naturally to you. But you are young, so it is not as much of a problem as training an adult.
Again.
[She patiently demonstrates the strikes again for Medium to follow.]
['Cumsy' doesn't begin to describe Medium, but she's certainly putting forth effort. She knows she needs to become stronger, so she's really working at it.
She nods, possibly making her face more solemn and focused than it needs to be, but that's not the point.]
Right.
[Her movements are still jerky and uncoordinated.]

Hello, Medium.
[Unhooking her own quarterstaff from her belt, she extends it and demonstrate a proper battle stance with it.]
For now, you will imitate my stance and movements. This is the basic starting position.

Hello!
[Medium, all focus now, tries to imitate Handmaiden.]
Right. Starting position. Got it.
