there is an unfinished painting on the easel in our living room that's been in process for oh, about two years or more. right now it looks like ( this )

so, work has been increasingly stressful lately. i get home most nights feeling very drained and uninspired. home is good - home is happy. i've been really lazy, though, so home is also very very messy. but i must say, i've been cooking a lot of really tasty things, mostly from veganomicon and vegan w/a vengeance. i have so many damn cookbooks ( Read more... )

we're having us some pizza tonight. homemade dough, sauce, the whole deal. i made some kind of calamata tapenade to use as a topping, and we are also armed with mushrooms, red onions, fresh garlic, and soy cheese. i'm so excited! making the dough was so easy! and we get to use our new pizza stone ( Read more... )

but i was gifted with at least four new cookbooks this x-mas AND a digital camera of my very own. so expect a lot of food pictures as soon as i figure out how that all works....
