Whereabouts in Oxford are you, if it's not too nosey? I was born and grew up there, so I'm just interested.

Not too nosey at all! I'm living in littlemore but it's a new estate there so a good 10 min walk to the actual village bit. 20 min walk to bus stop today but I was in city centre after a 15 minute bus ride so not too bad really.

I suspect it's the kind of area where there's no reason to go there in particular unless you live there!

Yay! Good to hear you've arrived in one piece :) Glad to hear the flat is to your liking and the commute seems manageable. Hope you have a great time in New York and good luck with the new job when it starts!

Think I've even figured out a slightly quicker route to the bus stop today as well!

It is a bit of a trek but hopefully one that is manageable :) and I should think a peaceful area from the point of view of when you want to sleep!

Looking forward to returning to my old haunts and some new ones in some more of Esmerelda and Nodbears dining triumphs before too long.
