As I type Mother will be flying north - yes on her broomstick. We have had a very pleasant weekend the highlight of which was a day trip on Saturday to Lille. It's a good sized town with lots of museums, opera, theatre, etc and a good alternative to Paris. I am currently keen to go back for a week to eat croissants and practice my French. Speaking

Yes the channel tunnel is very much a project Boney would have approved of while Nelson most certainly would not!
