I think a camelbak would potentially be useful if we get more serious/are biking longer than a couple of miles. Right now I'm not sure the expense is reasonable for the amount of time I'd put into cleaning/using it.

C was totally excited to get her stripe, too. I'm pretty proud of her. Now we're working on the next one, yup! :)

If your bike has holes where a bottle rack could go, I could give you my bottle rack... I've never figured out how one is supposed to drink while riding, and besides, I put a wire basket on the back for transporting things, and a cupholder on the handlebars for coffee, so I'm covered. :D

yeah, no holes for where one would go, hence my dilemna! THe cupholder I tried doesn't fit either, but jen had some other suggestions and I asked the bike manufacturer too so I'm sure I'll find something.

Camelbaks are great for mountain bikes, where a regular bottle would shake out. But I hate the sweaty back and the cleaning hassle.

Seat mount bottle cage:

Asdjustable--clamp it where you want and buy a regular cage.

Hey, those are totally handy! The clamp REI had was too small, but I'll defintely look at the other ones, thanks!

Or if you are looking for something else, google "bottle cage" and wherever you want to put it. If there is one thing that is over-gadgeted, it is bikes.
