Hahaha, I always love the lullaby in sims, so helpful for the player, but so weird for the sims themselves. :D Yes, Anastasia, I'm sure it was the ice cream truck...

Ah, I know the ears hang low version of turkey in the straw, we sang that here too. :)

I've always figured the Sims can't hear the lullaby, which would make Abhijeet-the-fireman having a sudden vision of a higher truth at a, ah, vitally important moment. (It's been known to happen.)

I bet the pictures for the British version of "Do Your Ears Hang Low" don't show the "continental soldier" as a goofy looking British redcoat, though, do they? :P

Thanks for reading! :D

As far as I can remember, we sang 'regimental soldier' rather than 'continental', so it probably did! :)

LOL! Not that the redcoats were from the Continent anyway, but geography is not Americans' strong suit...

I enjoyed this :D Anastasia is currently one of my favourite characters from your 'hood :)

I don't know why, but the ice cream vans round my way seem to play "Greensleeves" a lot. o_o

Glad you like her -- I aim to please. :)

I think the tune depends on the ice cream van. The one in my neighborhood plays "Turkey in the Straw," but we used to have two vans: one that played "Turkey in the Straw" and one that played "The Entertainer." Then last year the one that played "The Entertainer" parked out on the street in back of my house with that one song going in a loop for about 45 minutes, at which point one of my neighbors came storming out of his house yelling "You turn that f---ing music off RIGHT NOW or I'm going to f---ing KILL YOU!" (Yes, that's the kind of neighborhood I live in.) For some reason, that van hasn't been back since. o_O

Glad you enjoyed the story! :D
