My gosh, the kids have grown! :O Makes me realize how long I've been away. On the plus side, it shows Ygraine raised them successfully -- congrats! I'm really curious to see how Beaudelaire and Genevive make their start in life as adults.
And yay, Free Time! :) Glad to see Beau really took to the sewing machine!
I think you only missed one chapter -- mmmmaybe two. I had two rebuilds in a row in 2014, so there wasn't much posted.
Ygraine is doing a very good job, and at this point I think the challenge is pretty well in the bag. But remember: this story will cross over with my OWBC once a Certain Someone gets to college, so stay tuned!
I have been waiting for Free Time for SEVEN YEARS! I'm not tired of it yet, either. :) Seriously, with all the EPs and SPs that never got ported over to Mac, I was just standing there like "But -- but -- but I have MONEY! And I want to GIVE YOU SOME! Why won't you let me give you my money?" It's kind of silly, really. Now that I've gone to the Dark Side, I can have it all -- but EA doesn't have my money, because I bought everything used! Their loss, I suppose.
Looks like the hard part of the challenge is over, but it still looks like fun. It's times like these I wish the Environment score had more impact in TS2 like it did in TS1.
I guess you didn't get a full pic of Genevive and her dress so we could see how awful it was?
Just read through the challenge rules, and I didn't see any restrictions on the size of house or starting cash? Is it Apartment Life that increases the starting cash based on number of household members, wonder if there should be a §20K cap on that? What are your thoughts on the difficulty starting out? I seem to remember they had a tough time at first, but you also started out with a baby and toddler instead of toddler and child. Did you limit your funds other than not using the inheritance money?
Alas, no. That was one of the pictures I thought I took but didn't. It was the long figure-hugging pink one at the back of the catalog, though, if that helps you picture it
( ... )
Glad you enjoyed it! :) I don't know if there are really ladies' associations anymore (or if there ever were), but it just seemed to fit the picture.
Thanks for the pointers! I haven't gotten bored of the originals yet (yes, I am behind the curve), but I had a look, and there are some really nice recolors out there that I will snag.
Yes, Genevive was lucky that she had the blue. That pink did not suit her at all!

Love that the potholders were used for decoration in the rooms as well, they work well with the postcards.
Let's hope the next job goes better for Genevive. :)

Well, I can't do anything else with the potholders besides decorate, since selling them for profit is against the rules. They do look nice, though.
Thanks for reading and commenting! :D

You can get pot holder recolours for the machine, if you want more variety. I find those few styles got old fast.
Poor Genevieve. At least she had that blue in her wardrobe.

Edit to add: That is probably why I found that slide so amusing given the burnt offerings.
