Do you know, if this will affect us in Scandinavia? And if so how?

It most likely won't. It's an agreement between American Internet providers, and it's not even all of those who have joined in this agreement. It's possibly that this sort of agreements will spread to outside of DK, but atm I haven't heard anything about something like that - also I'm quite sure it's against Danish law (but so is ACTA, tbh. How DK is going to deal with that if ACTA doesn't get voted down this summer, I do not know - but it's definitely not legal).

So it's safe for non-Americans to keep downloading?
It will still be a problem if the Americans who provide us with stuff stops sharing, and that sucks, but I'm more afraid of getting busted. :(

I wonder if this act is against downloading totally. If it also includes legal downloads? Or will they filter through the legal stuff and only cut the connection to those who download copyrighted stuff that's not paid for.

Yeah, so far there's no control - yet.

They claim it's only about illegal stuff, but how they are going to actually check for that - and this includes any sort of control - is... impossible to know, 'cause let's be fair: people already try to hide as much as possible when uploading/downloading illegal files. You can't actually make a difference between these two sort of uploads/downloads unless you a) view all the material, and b) know all the material which is copyrighted. The whole idea is stupid - and it's not like people can function today without downloading legal stuff, anyway. So idk. It just show how these people don't understand how the internet function today and that they don't see how the internet might function in the future!
