yeah, I had to step away from the computer several times when going through the comments. Just when I thought my fellow feminists couldn't fail me even more, there they go and prove me wrong. Bah.

Yeah, I saw that comment; it's so fucked up that they cannot understand that you gender-identity and what gender you're attracted to are the only reasons you have to come out. There's a certain expectation on how you get attracted to someone - and that you do get attracted to someone, especially -, that, yeah, it is also often necessary for other groups - including heteromantic people - to come out! It can't be that hard to understand!

I apparently have it added on a "feminist"-filter (I use filters all the time), but I've stopped checking that filter unless I'm in such a mood, where I'm able to ignore all the shit that (online) so-called feminists apparently approve of and only focus on the good articles, 'cause, well, some feminists - a huge, loud group of feminists - are so freaking ignorant of their own privileges and oppressive behaviour, that, well, I'm having trouble even identifying as a feminist due to them.

Thank you for this; the comments in that post bothered and frustrated me so much. Whatever good points these so-called feminists made, which could've been part of a constructive dialogue, was drowned out by the insults and silencing.

No problem ♥

I do think that a discussion about sexuality and queerness would be interesting (...and another idea to a bachelor project in minority studies just popped up. Dammit, why am I studying religion?! Hrmpf), but what happened at that post was not a discussion - it, quite the opposite, turned out to be a case that can be used in such a discussion -_-

I've been so frustrated with the feminist/left community lately, for shit like this. I didn't even notice this post at first, but I've noticed that often when the topic of antisemitism comes up people just shrug it off as if it doesn't exist.

And seriously, first comment starts with "oh vomit"? Seriously?!
