Meira woke slowly. She'd been dreaming - something about Bossman and pancreatic surgery? The more she tried to recall it, the more she forgot. Calmly stretching and groaning slightly, she reached over to wrap her arm around Nova. Instead, she found her arm empty and her hand on Pasha's side. At first she considered just going back to sleep, until the scent of chicken roused her further. She sat up, rubbing her eyes. She squinted at the nightstand. She picked up one of the cool glass and took a few sips. Finally she had awakened enough to notice something was off.
Where'd Nova go? Shower's off, she'd've been back by now if she was using the bathroom...
She swung her legs over the side of the bed. Nervousness began to grow in the pit of her stomach. As she became more and more aware of her surroundings, she noticed a glow on the floor. She slipped off the bed onto the ground. 3 steps later, it lay at her feet, beckoning. She bent down and picked it up.
Her eyes widened. She kept a firm grip on the PADD. Shit

Pasha groaned and batted at Meira’s hand still half asleep. “нет. Go ‘way, five more minutes.” But the hand on her shoulder was persistent. She sat up groggily rubbing her eyes, and yawning. “Meira? What is the matter?”
The girl noticed that the other woman wasn’t there and Meira‘s worried expression. “Where is Nova? Is there something wrong?” She asked starting to get anxious.
Meira ran a hand through her hair. "Long story, no time. We need to find Nova, now."
She left the bedside for a moment and walked to their open suitcases. She threw a random pair of pants and a shirt at Pasha and grabbed some for herself.
"If you find her, message me immediately. I'd tell you what's going on in detail but it's not my story to tell. Basically what you need to know is she's going to be really upset and - damn, where would she be?" she rambled as she yanked on her jeans.
Pasha pulled the clothes on without a word. Deciding that it must have been serious if Meira was getting this freaked out. She grabbed her communicator from the sidetable and shoved it in the back pocket of the jogging pants she was wearing.
"Nova could be anywhere. Is there any place she said she wanted to go to on Shore Leawe, when people are upset the tend to go to places where they hawe an emotional attachment to." The girl commented as she slipped a pair of trainers on her feet, silently thanking that she took them everywhere with her.
Nova blinked the rain out of her eyes again and shivered, her thin clothes offering little protection and no warmth. She really should have thought this over better. But she hadn't been doing much thinking at all for the past half hour. Walking and walking and walking. The streets were empty, a first she was sure, even at any hour of the night there was someone awake and wandering around. They might not be the most savory people, but they were there all the same.
She wondered if they had ever even seen rain before. She found it calming, for the most part, until the thunder sounded in her ears and made her jump. It was like walking through a ghost town, ruined civilization that had just vanished, leaving things where they landed. It matched her mood, she felt hollow deep under her ribs, empty and lost. You can probably hear the wind rattle through my bones she laughed grimly to herself. The farther she walked the more restless she was becoming and she felt herself sinking farther down
