I agree with what you said. Snape's death irked me, as did all the meaningless deaths thrown in at the end seemingly 'just because'. The story would have ended so much better without the epilogue - there wasn't nearly enough information there to really do anything, and I was rather annoyed that Ted Lupin wasn't living with Harry - you'd think Harry'd want his godson staying with him after the death of his entire family.

Well, I tend to think that Harry did raise Teddy, being his Godfather and all. I mean, by the epilogue Teddy is 19 or nearly 20, and thus out of Hogwarts and probably on his own. He's certainly of age. I take the comment by Harry that Teddy is eating dinner at Harry's house 4 tiems a week to mean that they are very close and Harry likely raised Teddy. Harry's daughter's comments that Teddy would really be one of the family if he married Victorie seem to indicate that she thinks of him as family but marriage would make it "real."

The epilogue had enough to tease but not enough to actually explain everything I was curious about. Grr.

And Snape's death was definitely unexpected. The plotline felt not quite done. Although if he had to die, looking into Lilly's eyes was the way to go.
