I wouldn't really say it's something I would "expect" from a specific nation over another. No nation with a decent or large population is going to be entirely devoid of people who are severely mentally ill.

That said, this story is crazy.

Shootings are up 25% in Toronto.

There have been 2 shootings in front of my apartment building the last two months...there was never an incident before.

I was almost swarmed four months ago by 25 kids.

...this is Toronto...I would never have expected such craziness on a bus to Winnipeg.

Things certainly are screwy these days.
