I'm having a hard time giving a crap about my Soc exam today. I am woefully unprepared for it. I spent all of Sunday snuggled up in bed with Quoth. Taking Quoth back to the vet tomorrow morning at 8:30. I gave her wet food today and she threw it all (and then some) back up and then this evening when I was giving her the nasty liquid meds, she hardly even protested. So yesterday I noticed that Quoth was having a lot of trouble peeing. I came home for lunch today (because I spent all morning worrying about her) and this time she couldn't pee at all. Took her to the vet and she has an inflamed bladder and blood in her urine. She's now on antibiotics and an anti-inflammatory. It has been a super stressful day ( Read more... )

It's grooming night here. With the change in the weather the last week or so, the cats have started to blow coat like crazy in the last few days. So I got out the brushes and now there are several little mouse-sized balls of fur of varying shades of grey all piled up. And there's still so much more! So Binky has these new things she's started to do when she wants my attention. My favorite one is when my knee is available, she'll set her two front paws on it and just sort of hunker down. One of the things I need to remember about a clean living room floor is that it makes the cats incredibly happy. For example, Binky seems to have unearthed the only two bottle caps that didn't make it to the dustbin and is having a rousing game of cat and mouse.
