I'm working my way through it. I got through Act 1. Internet at home is still stupid slow so can't really watch it but I'll take my computer with me to work again tomorrow and watch it during lunch. And I will probably watch the sequel Monday/Tuesday depending on things. But LOVING it so far.
Is it weird that I think I like Darren outside of Glee better than I like him as Blaine? I am conflicted now.
Definitely not weird. I have the same conflicted feelings. I discovered real Darren pretty much at the same time he came on Glee (which is depressing, because had I KNOWN about AVPM, I would have totally been in love with him for like 2 years now, but whatever.)
When I write, I have a hard time not writing Blaine as Darren. But they are really, really different. I kind of like Darren just a little better, but then I like Blaine better for Kurt, because I think they complement each other so very well. Does that make sense?
(Actually, I'm pretty sure I like Darren more than Blaine because I think his curls are hot as shit and I die every time he sings. So there's that.)
Yes, that completely makes sense. And I feel the same way.
There's this scene that I want to write for them where Blaine is blushing and says, "I wrote you a song" and Kurt goes all blushy and for whatever reason (maybe so no one else in the house hears?) They sit really close and while Blaine strums his guitar, he sings very softly right up against Kurt's ear and there is lots of sighing and gasping and lovey-dovey eyes. But we don't know if Blaine plays any instruments so I'm afraid that is me superimposing Darren into the scene and I always hate it when people do that. Like if, for example, someone wrote Blaine singing one of the songs Darren has actually written. I hate that but every time I hear "Don't You" and "Not Alone" I think of Kurt/Blaine. It is fucking with my head and my better judgment.
THE CURLS! Yes! I hate that hair gel, but it does help me separate Darren from Blaine. I love his stupid curly hair. I even love his stupid LONG curly hair even though I think it looks fucking ridiculous. But omg yes. The

I think I might have Stutter. I've been attempting to download loads of his songs but the damn crappy internet keeps me from doing it quickly. It is another thing I need to do during my break tomorrow.
I did find a live version of "Sami" that I like A LOT better. I'm still listening to Dress & Tie like crazy, though.
IT IS THE BEST THING EVER!!! I stayed up until 2 a.m. last night finishing it and watching a few parts of the sequel.

INSERT EYEHEARTS HERE! I had seen that as an icon before and I sort of vaguely knew it was in the same verse as AVPM BUT I HAD NOT REALIZED THE BRILLIANCE OE THE ACTUAL SCENE.
Yesterday, I came back to work all happy smiles and giggling because I had Draco in my head saying, "Pigfarts" over and over again (I heart Lauren so hard) and my poor Boss was just staring at me. When I explained, she just laughed and let me giggle away.
Yeah, I got clarification on "Sami" and I recognized "Not Alone" even faster than that. And what, pray tell, is Little White Lie? Another album? Another play? We must know, precious!! We must have more of the precious Darren!
I am just full of love and hearts over Starkid. It all makes so much sense now. I might have to buy a pin, though I have no idea where I would actually put it.
So far, it's my favorite part, too ^_^ AVPS is certainly funny, but I think I definitely prefer AVPM. I feel like they're trying way too hard in AVPS and parts are just waaay too over the top or just made me go, "WTF?" Still enjoying the experience, though. I'm about a third of the way through Act 2.
I'll have to look up Little White Lie -- I'm curious.
I so want the pink sunglasses but I, too, wear glasses all the time so they would purely be for shelf decoration which would be ridiculous. I'll have to look at the shirts. I'm tempted cause I want to support them and their brilliance.

Thank you for the Sami clarification! It was really bothering me. Even though, of his songs so far, Sami is one of my least favorite ;P
