EA and I are thinking of instituting a policy company-wide (universe-wide?). And it is this: If you are going to ask me to do some work that is not mine (ie XXX is out of the office and s/he forgot/didn't do this, can you because you obviously don't have work of your own?), you need to give us a cookie and/or donut and/or other acceptable baked

GOOD PLAN. Or, in my case, treat me like a competant adult. One of the subrights people asked me to do an amendment for an editorless book (contract is from 1975! For a $2,000 advance!) and I totally didn't even mind because she didn't make me feel stupid in any way during the process.
