Samurai Champloo is awesome. Also check out Wolf's Rain if you get a chance. It's a lesser appreciated show by the same studio.

I'm not really doing fanfiction anymore either. =/

I thought something looked familiar...I saw Wolf's Rain a couple of years ago, took a couple of episodes to get into it but once I did I really liked it.
