I have this tingling sensation down my spine that something is about to happen. Call it a woman's intuition, but I do hope you're all...careful in the upcoming days, hm? Wouldn't want any terrible accidents to befall any of you now would we

[Riiiight, and people look at him odd for carrying a bat. Figures.]
Does it have to be red and gold? Won't any other suffice?

[It sounds like he's tapping a finger against the desk, flipping through another book]
If only you could tell my supervisor that. I haven't had a break since I started working - not that I entirely mind, but a girl needs a short holiday here and there, you know?
[Another flip of a page.]
Mm...I don't truly mind, dear. I just hate sounding so old compared to most here.
...
[Fail effort is appreciated. Somewhat.]
Yes, not that far at all, I see.

What?! But that's inhuman! Everyone has a right for having a break and holidays, specially girls. Not that I say that girls can't do as much as men, but they are the most precious things men have, they can protect themselves but... Men also have to do their part. And everyone knows how important is to a girl to be able to rest properly and all.
Your supervisor is a monster, and deserves a lesson on how to manage his workers.
[Yeah, now he's annoyed. It's amazing the amount of men who abuse of women, even if it's with the excuse of work, then again even if she had been a man it still would have been wrong. Aren't there human rights about that somewhere?]
Eh? Old? You don't sound old at all, Grell-san! Why would you think that? So you're from further in the past for many people, what a drama, I'm from the past of many too apparently. If anyone says that you're old just for that they just aren't worth your time, ignore them.

He is, isn't he? I would lodge a complaint, but this is truly the only job I'm suited for and thus I'd rather not lose it.
A girl always feels old when they're unmarried and my age, but thank you, love. You are such a cute thing.

[Sighs, he almost wishes her boss would be here to yell at him a bit.]
At least while you're here you can relax? It's contradictory though that this place can be of some good to someone.
[Keiichi makes a face at the unmarried comment.]
So you aren't married, what's the problem? A woman isn't just about her husband or her house, specially if you have a career. Besides, better being unmarried, at whatever age you want, than end being married to an asshole who treats you badly or doesn't respect you.
You shouldn't worry about that, Grell-sa- [Wait, 1888. Different time, different mind sets.] Okay, I take that back. But really at least while you're here you should relax and forget about that, no one here will care about your age or if you're married or whatever.

But yes, you are quite right. I can let my hair down a bit while I'm here. An impromptu holiday, hm?
[He listens to Keiichi's little rant and then chuckles a bit.]
No, I suppose they won't. Quite the passionate lad, aren't you?

[Passionate? Well, excuse Keiichi while he blushes lightly in embarrassment. She's right, he has been talking quite a lot, right? This is the sort of thing that makes Patchouli say that he's loud, isn't it?]
Ah... Sorry, Grell-san. I suppose I get a bit passionate about some things, but I just can't stand things being unfair like that or women being treated badly.
I... I didn't bother you with it, right? [Again, she's from a different mind and country, what if she likes things as they are in her time? Just because he thinks something he has no reason to put down how things are for her normally.]
Reply
Ah, please don't be sorry, dear. It's refreshing to hear a man think about things from a lady's perspective for once. Not often that happens, especially in my time.

I suppose it doesn't... I would like to say that things are different at my time but to be honest, they aren't that different. Though people are trying to change it.
[At least that's how Keiichi likes to perceive things, slowly, people try to advance and change. Unfortunately sometimes they don't agree on what to work on first and that makes it seem as if nothing is being done.]
UHm, Grell-san, besides your chainsaw, do you need anything else?
[No, he's not trying to change the topic, why do you ask?]

[The honesty there is half mixed with confusion. Yes, at the moment he can't think of why would anyone try to fool anyone.]
