Today was my first day back at work since Mum passed away (exactly two weeks ago, most of which time has been spent clearing the house and organising the funeral).  It was meant to be yesterday but the car failed its MOT and I had to wait until it was fixed before I could get into work.  That was probably just as well as it gave me time to make

Mourning is so individual. I will warn you that if you had a habit with your Mom, You will experience profound, punching sadness when you engage in that habit. For me it was a local odds-and-ends shop my Mom loved. It took me six months to step back in there. And in the car was another time, I pulled over more than once to cry. I'm really just saying that anyone who tells you it's a soon-to-be-over experience is full of it and to cut yourself a break :)
