I used to have this theory that Stephen Moffat was obsessed with telephones. Seriously, go look back at his work and count the number of times telephones seem to play an important role in the plot. It's really quite striking

interesting theory. personally, i think pond is the element that the whole season revolves around and that she isn't who she says (or even thinks) she is.

and that there's a pocket watch involved...
