Google Earth

Google have now released their equivalent to NASA's WorldWind:

Google Earth

Just checking it out now, but it looks pretty nice :)

It also has some of the features of google maps, it can plot a route from one place to another and overlay the instructions on the map!

I saw that yesterday but unfortunately it doesn't work in Wine so I haven't been able to try it out :-(

They seem to have nice high resolution photos for small parts of the uk, unfortunately york looks like this:
