I liked the link about how we enjoy music. I think it is more complex than outlined but the basic idea feels right.

And yet Rescue Remedy does a fantastic job of calming me down.

Didn't you link an article a while earlier saying that the Placebo effect is getting stronger? It'd be pretty damn awesome if that could be controlled somehow.

And if homeopathy restricted its claims to such subjective symptoms and self-limiting conditions, it would be far less harmful.

Oh, wow.

Yeah, I just use placebos to treat things which I know are psychosomatic.

Using alternative medicine to treat "Kill yo ass if left untreated" kinda conditions is very WTF?

Alas for the theory that Blondes are more aggressive: the study says no such thing, and the whole ‘blonde’ slant was invented by the reporter.

In fact the study about "blonde aggression" did not actually report on hair colour at all. It was about attractive women and large, muscular men, and its main finding was that, contrary to the myth of the overcompensating little guy, it is in fact more confidant, successful, and classically attractive people who are more likely to be violent. The article about blondes is a severe mischaracterisation of the study, and most news orgs which republished it have since posted a retraction.
