A wonderful case study of the academic echo chamber anonymous August 4 2006, 14:45:53 UTC
These guys seem to have produced a wonderful case study demonstrating what happens when the academic environment becomes a politically correct echo chamber. They just ignore the most interesting variable because it doesn't fit into the consensus, and because there is a consensus they will be allowed to get away with it!

The damage this causes is much harder to see when (as so often) the academic research is on a trivial subject from the outset, or the researchers are incompetent. Much clearer here though, where the issues are important and the most of the research appears to be reasonably solid. Thanks for pointing this out.
