It still seemed a little completely strange that he'd spent several days as a small, furry kitten. Jo looked at her watch confusedly. Oh. OH! Chris. That's who'd be at the door now. Where did the time go? "Hey!" She opened her door. "C'mon in. Sorry. I lost track of time."

They'd agreed to have lunch today, but it looked as though she was pretty busy.

"I was working on a paper and lost track of time, trying to track down a source I remember seeing for an article I'm writing," Jo said sheepishly. "You're interrupting but in the good way. Sorry for the clutter. I'm still not used to having the room to spread out and I'm afraid I take far too much advantage of it." She moved around, picking up the padds and stacking them neatly on her table to one side.

"I do the same thing," Chris assured her. "My apartment was kind of piling up with papers and things before I, ah, left." He'd been meaning to clean up some of the mess once he had a day free to spend at home.

"As long as I'm a good interruption, then I won't feel bad for disturbing you," he laughed. "You must be hungry. It looks like you've been working hard."
