You're welcome! X3 Shizuru is v. cool & I'm a huge Shiznat fan now. Ah, I can't wait to find out what Tomoe decides to do with Shizuru. Hopefully she won't go too far... =1
And sorry.. got off the subject.. but the song is awesome. I am definitely a Shiznat fan too *came here from that community* And the lyrics so totally represent Shizuru's feelings for Natsuki.
Hiya. I was wondering, with your permission could I post this translation (with credits of course) on the Shizuru fanlisting (http://ikezu.parazonium.net) by chance. I've been looking everywhere for a translation but this is the first I've found. Thanks so much for translating.
This is very late coming, but, well, I've read a Chinese translation for this song which I believe to be accurate, so I'd like to ask: would you like questions/critique for your translation? or are you already sure of its accuracy?
Oh crap, just looked at it, and I decided that yours is better. ;) Some things I would still like to ask, though, if you want. (The above comment was worded very poorly, sorry.)
Ahh, someone translated it into Chinese?? Yes - I'd love to hear every question/critique!! X3 Since I'm still learning Japanese & I think accuracy is most important, it's always good to have something to compare to & know where I'm wrong. ^O^ If you don't mind telling me those parts I'd really appreciate it!! =D
Okay, what I discovered belatedly was that the Chinese translator relied too much on the Chinese meanings of the kanji, hence the mistranslations of lines like "will not let you escape". I lost faith in it halfway, so my issues are instead points that they did differently which I thought was also feasible. Mainly the first stanza, because I am lazy, sorry. :p
Said stanza: 濡れた髪にそっと 唇よせて目を閉じて 涙ぐんだらあかん?
You said: I gently lay my lips on your moist hair and close my eyes May I not wallow in my sorrow? [1]
My literal trans of said Chinese translationHair that is gradually getting wet, lips close, eyes that are shut
