I have the most trouble getting myself out of the house on a Sunday. So, an experiment!

1. Have late breakfast at Waffle House (yum)
2. Oil change (overdue) (They were closed!)
3. Haircut (ditto)
4. Groceries (need for survival)
5. Find an iPod dock with a speaker that doesn't cost $100+ (this is optional)Let's see if moving some electrons around ( Read more... )

I walked two miles, bought food, finished laundry, ran the dishwasher and put the stuff away, did my at-home work for my job from Friday and some of the stuff I'll claim for Monday (lots of paperwork right now), cooked lunch, entertained a guest, posted photos and a news story link, went with Noam to dinner and to Cache's play (which we found only with Jeffurry's help), and printed Lunch Boy's puzzle, which I'm going to do minutes from now before sleep.

So? How'd it work out for you? (If you got past 1, you should still be alive even if you didn't get to 4 yet, so you can theoretically answer.)

I did everything but #2. I think #3 looks pretty damned good, and I am cautiously optimistic that I struck the right balance of "cheap" and "not crap" with #5.

Then I got home and started watching baseball, and it took me six hours (after it finished) to start doing any chores. Ah well.

I applaud your long list of accomplishments, and resist the urge to feel bad about my short list of accomplishments in comparison. :)

Thank you for resisting. I didn't say it to make you feel bad. I said it because I was proud that I didn't just sit on my ass all weekend and it felt good that, even though I felt relaxed, I still got stuff done. Your #5 is the kind of thing I would put off for months.

Okay, now I'm not sure if you used the "offended" pic on behalf of me or you. If you, then I sincerely apologize--I just meant to make a flippant comment, and was not bothered at all by the relative lengths of either of our lists of accomplishments.

(Man, I can make a mess.)
