I can't cope with Apple anymore. I defected to linux and android a few years ago which has worked well for me. The new windows sucks but at least I only have to deal with it when I have to run certain stats programs. It's funny how EVERYONE has access to a computer these days, yet technical literacy seems to be much lower than it used to be. I think it's due to this gradual dumbing down of UI's that you speak of.

Yeah, the popularity of Apple-style interfaces really made other programs get dumber. And people just want out of the box, plug and play programs which you can't do anything with. So it is a vicious cycle.

I'm personally in good health... except for my damn lungs. :P
My lungs, not so good, heh.
Even my pancreas is standing up to the beating that the steroid that helps my lungs usually gives it (I only managed a 5.8 A1C in spite of ending one prednisone burst August 25th and having to restart September 1st).

That's true for the Dems as well, of course. I see a lot of the same anxiety on my FB feed because I've got mostly lefties in my friends and family. They should lay the blame squarely on the shoulders of their own DNC, who deliberately derailed Bernie's campaign in favor of Hillary. He's consistently polled higher than both candidates. But Hillary is royalty, and she waited her turn...

Also, the primary system is so stupid. To do well in the primaries, you have to appeal to the extremes of the party but to do well in the general election, you need to pretty much be the opposite and appeal to moderates and undecided.
