The funeral went about as expected. My uncle went on way too long and did wind up with a "you need to come to Jesus or you will never see Grandma and Grandpa again" statement. Your brother stated so eloquently the reality for most people. Heroes are sometimes right alongside you, through most of your life, and you just need a change of perspective to see it. And good on ya for singing your heart out. Does one a lotta good, huh?

From personal experience ... it's very common to be too tired to grieve until later. And it can come and go at weird times for a long time afterwards. All perfectly OK.
