I did some digging about the SD All-State Chorus. They normally have over 1000 singers. That puts the 250 at my HS All-State chorus to shame. Though this arrangement is a bit different, it is still just gorgeous. I love the pure sound of the female soloist and can tell that the emotion of of the moment and the meaning of the song gets to her at one point, but still, a fine performance.

I am the same - acapella singing normally does me in, no matter the subject. I weep every time I sing Spaseniye Sodelal by Chesnokov - or I did when I sang it with Turtle Creek Chorale. I have never heard a version of it as good as what we did...
