I understand completely.. starting over is rough enough, but there'd be no garantee that the new job situation would even last.

I feel that you have made the correct choice.

Well, I am not certain it is right or wrong, but it is the decision I am sticking with. Maybe my fears outweighed everything else, but sometimes those fears are valid. Right now, I feel like they are...

You got to make the decision best for you. And it is a correct one if you do worry about not being able to get to your paretns ASAP if they need you.

Yep - if anything, I really should move closer to them rather than farther away...

It's a tough choice to uproot and start over, especially once again. And I agree, with parents already a long distance away not in good health, I'd be one to stick close by.

As a hardened veteran of diverticulitis, it's something not to be taken lightly. It nearly killed me. Antibiotics and diet help here, but should still be watched.

Your thought process seems completely sound to me. I imagine this was not an easy or simple decision to make ... it sounds very much like you made a good one.
