May 10, 2014 02:45

On Friday, May 9, 2014, Ukrainian pro-government troops, including those from the National Guard of Ukraine, attacked the police department of the city of Mariupol. The reason was Mariupol police officers denied an order issued by Ukrainian officials demanding police officers to use force against local supporters of federalism. During the attack Ukrainian troops used automatic machine guns, rocket-propelled grenade launchers (RPGs) and armored vehicles. Several police officers were killed and wounded.
