it is hard to decide how or where to start writing after time away- just jumping in anyplace is the only way, i think.
you hit the essential point, which is that you're feeling happy.
hope you have years and years to come of phone conversations with your Adam. (J still phones me twice a day from work after 19 years, even if only to say hello)

Yeah, with Adam in my life I haven't been lonely, but I'm leery of being *too* dependent on him for all my companionship needs -- we've discussed that. I've been in SF for two years now, and I'm kind of settled, so I'm going to start putting more energy into making other friends. More on that later...

Oh, thank you, sweetie. A big reason for me to jump back into LJ was because it's the best way to keep up on what's happening with you! That's a horrible sentence, but a heartfelt sentiment. :)
