I'll read that one tomorrow (it's 3am here, I'll be more awake then), I don't think I saw that before. The first one I remember, but only vaguely, was Star Wars. I think... Dregs of memory...

Agree 100% on the 'don't mess with LJ name', that never stops being annoying. (It'd be okay if they left a trail, or something or used a 'nee', like, 'SpazzySnape nee LupusSnape', ya know?)

Yes! I am guilty of changing my name (well, starting a new journal), but I came back after an extended hiatus and was like, "Wait, who is that? WHO IS THAT? I recognize that icon!!" They become mysteries for the ages.

This is awesome - hilarious, yet completely true. Makes you realise how awesome fandom can be, really.

Don't make sweeping proclamations that you’ll never cross line "x". Maybe you only write gen fic. Maybe you still love your original OTP. But you never know when the CW will premiere a new show that makes you want to ship two brothers so hard it hurts.
This made me LOL - it's crazy how many of my lines I've crossed ever since I discovered Supernatural.

Yeah, Supernatural does seem to be custom made for crossing lines. I'm pretty sure I've eaten more than a few of my, "I'll never" statements since the show started.

I can't quite bring myself to regret that. *grins*

Yup! Never say never in fandom. You'll just end up feeling like a tool.

That is really so, so true. Luckily most of my "I'll never" proclamations have not been public, but the chagrin is still there.
